Remitech Rewind | June 2025
Hello Remitech community 👋
June was a whirlwind, from stage-shaking announcements at WWDC to rooftop BBQs and big industry gatherings. Here's your roundup of all things Remitech this month. Let’s dive in!
🍎 WWDC 2025: A New Era of “Liquid Glass” & AI Everywhere
Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference in early June brought sweeping ecosystem updates. We spoke with Kandjis, Principal Solutions Engineer, Arek Dreyer, at our rooftop event last Thursday.
This WWDC was deeply admin-focused, with significant wins in identity, management, AI, and migration. Here's what you should be excited about:
🔐 Identity & SSO Integration
Platform SSO now integrated into Setup Assistant: support for “Tap to Login,” guest accounts, and Zero‑Touch deployment.
Enables identity workflows during initial setup and supports shared-use environments like labs and education.
🛠️ Declarative Device Management (DDM)
Apple fully endorses DDM—it’s now the default for app version pinning, app config, identity support, and tvOS/VisionOS parity. (Legacy MDM deprecated.)
🔄 Return to Service (RTS) & Migration Enhancements
RTS features have been improved: devices can be wiped while retaining Wi‑Fi, auto-re-enrol, and restore apps/templates. Extended to VisionOS.
ABM migrations are now supported within Apple Business Manager — enabling smoother onboarding/offboarding.
🤖 Apple Intelligence Controls
Nearly all AI features under Apple Intelligence are gated by supervision and MDM policies—admins retain control.
🌐 App Management Overhaul
Admins gain finer control: version pinning, enhanced app configuration, and improved developer support.
🎉 June Event Recap
Rooftop BBQ & Q&A sponsored by Kandji (June 26)
We enjoyed great food and even better conversations. Special thanks to Arek Dreyer, who answered live audience questions on Mac fleet management — a fun, casual, and insightful session.
Endor Labs Dinner Club (June 19)
A thoughtful evening exploring vulnerability management and supply chain security with Varun Badhwar and the Endor team — lots of expert takeaways.
Infosecurity Europe Stand (June 4–6)
We had a brilliant few days at Infosec, catching up with friends old and new across the industry. Thanks to our partner Metomic for having us on their stand — it was an excellent opportunity to support the team and spark meaningful conversations around SaaS security, data governance, and the evolving threat landscape.
🔮 Looking Ahead: Summer Pause, Big Things Brewing
We’re taking a break from events over the summer to recharge, reflect, and get ready for something spectacular.
We’ll be back with a bang in September with an exciting live event at the O2. 🎤👀
Our much-loved Dinner Club series will also return in October, bringing together sharp minds and even sharper conversation across tech, security, and leadership.
Stay tuned, you're not going to want to miss what’s next.
💬 Let’s Connect
Whether you're adapting to new Apple OS designs, securing SaaS pipelines, or planning your next initiative, let's chat. We’re ready to guide, implement, and support every stage of your journey.
Until next time,
